What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your CarMax Auto Financing Bill

CarMax Auto Financing is available for car purchases made through CarMax. At this time, CarMax Auto Financing does not refinance loans or participate in any other automobile purchase programs aside from direct purchase payments.

How to Pay the Bill

If you are a CarMax Auto Financing customer, you will receive a payment booklet about two weeks after the purchase of your vehicle. That payment booklet will include the mailing address for payments and other information regarding repayment of your loan. There are multiple options for making auto payments to CarMax.

Pay online: If you have an account with CarMax Auto Financing, you can register for online account access at https://www4.carmax.com/account/association. If you already have an online account, you can pay your CarMax Auto Financing bill online at https://www3.carmax.com/account/sign-in?ReturnUrl=https%3a%2f%2fwww4.carmax.com%2faccount%2fsummary.

Pay by phone: The customer service department is available to take your auto loan payment by phone at 1-800-925-3612. You will make the payment through an automated system. Wait for the confirmation number at the end of the call to verify payment has been applied to your account.

Pay by mail: Use the payment coupon to mail your payment or address your personal check or money order payment to:

If you are ready to pay-off your auto loan, mail the final payment to:

Your payoff amount can be retrieved through a customer service representative. The final payment may be more or less than your regular payment depending on total interest accrued and status of your account.

Pay at Western Union: Call Western Union at 1-800-238-5772 with the city code “CarMax” and state code “Georgia.” You must give Western Union your account number to make a payment.

Pay at MoneyGram: Visit any MoneyGram Express location and give the customer service representative the Receive Code “4645”, company name “CarMax”, city “Kennesaw” and state “GA” with your account number to make a payment.

I have oddly been having problems setting up my payment plan with ya’ll there has been no mention here of how to do it via my bank account and the store I bought my Mustang from they just gave me a card with number which I called and was told I could only do that here well now what the hell do I do? I never would have imagined they would be so vague about how to get my money!!! well I guess trip to by bank is in order at least there I know they will get right on it.I love my car it’s perfect and everyone during the deal were as friendly and helpful as can be including the service department and I have every reason the rest of my experience will be a good one.

  4. Horrible payment software. Payment made so difficult. Have made several complaints to phone number to rectify software so that payment may be possible without so many security questions, etc. What’s the problem in anybody making a payment to CarMax Auto Finance? Isn’t there any software tester to test this site?
