How the Penalty Fees Work

As is the case with most credit cards, there is a long list of fees associated with the Chevron credit card.

  • Annual fee: A $25 annual fee is charged to all customers with a Premium card account.
  • Minimum interest charge: $2 per billing cycle.
  • Cash advance fee: $10 or 5% of the cash advance, whichever is higher.
  • Late payment fee: Up to $35, based on the previous account history.
  • APR purchases: 26.99%
  • APR cash advance: 29.99%

I Can’t Make a Payment

Credit card customers need to contact customer service as soon as they know they’ll be unable to make a payment. Credit cards are already on a reduced payment plan, so Chevron may not be willing to place the past due balance on a payment plan without closing the account.

  1. I tried to make a payment on line, I put in my checking account number correctly, but I kept getting a response implying the number was incorrect. Is there anything you can do about my situation. I dont want to have to pay $14.00 to pay a recorded voice.
