How the Penalty Fees Work

Security deposit – You will need to pay a security deposit of $100 if you do not own you home and want service.
Returned checks – When you payment is returned by your financial institution, the City of Longmont charges a $15 fee.

- LIHEAP – This federally funded program assist qualified low income customers pay your utilities bill. You will need to contact a customer service representative or the National Energy Assistance Referral Project (NEAR) at 1-866-674-6327 to see if you qualify for assistance.
- Longmont C.O.P.E. – This service provides assistance to customers in financial distress. All of the funds come from donations of other customers.
