What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your DQE Bill

DQE or Duquesne Light is an electric company in Pennsylvania. Customers can choose to make payments to the company online or by mail, in addition to other services provided. If your account is past due, contact the customer service department immediately for more information on payment plans and/or local agencies that may be able to help.

How to Pay the Bill

The fastest way to pay your DQE bill is to contact customer service and pay by phone. The representative will note your account that payment has been made, stopping the disconnect process.

Pay online: You can pay your DQE bill online at https://secure.dqe.com/DLX/CustomerServices/Electriweb/AccountSummary/default.cfm?MakePaymentNow=1. Payments are processed by Western Union, so customers will be responsible for paying a service fee of $2.50. There is also a delay in payment processing, so payments are not credited immediately.

Pay by mail: If you wish to pay with a personal check or money order, make your payment payable to DQE and send to:

Payment Processing Center
Pittsburg, PA 15267-0001

Pay at a Western Union pay station: Visit any Western Union pay station in your area to make a payment. You will be charged a $2 fee for making payment via Western Union.

One comment on “DQE Bill
  1. I have been attempting to pay my bill on line as I always do, but cannot get onto your website. I don’t want to pay the service charge to make a phone payment. I would like to pay $140 today and make an additional payment in a week.

    Thank you.
