How To Pay The Bill
The City of Fort Worth offers the following payment options: in person, by mail, online, and by phone.
Pay by phone: Phone payments are accepted at 1-817-392-4477. This service is available 24 hours a day. Payment methods accepted by phone include credit cards, debit cards and bank checks.
Pay by mail: Make your personal checks or money orders out to Fort Worth Water Department and mail to:

Pay in person: In-person payments are accepted at various locations, including:
- Downtown City Hall Annex – 908 Monroe Street
- Southeast Satellite Office – 4245 E. Berry St in the Fiesta Food Store
- Northside Satellite Office – 102 NW 28th St in the Carnival Food Store
- Southwest Satellite Office – 3741 SW Loop 820 in the Southwest Municipal Court Building
Pay at a drop box: A 24-hour drop box is located at the Fort Worth City Hall Annex on 908 Monroe St. and at 8510 Spring St. in Lake Country Estates. Cash is not accepted at the drop boxes.
Pay by bank draft: Bank draft forms are located online at http://fortworthtexas.gov/uploadedFiles/Water/Serving_You/Your_Utiltiy_Bill/BankDraft.pdf. Forms should be printed and mailed to:

How The Penalty Fees Work
If you do not make your payment by the due date listed on your bill, you may have to pay the following fees.
- Notify Fee: $20 to notify you of your delinquency.
- Lock Meter Fee: $20 to lock your meter due to delinquency.
- Meter Removal Fee: $20 to remove your meter due to non-payment for services. This fee is not charged when repairs are made.
- Reactivation Fee: $20 to restart your service when account is brought to current status after termination.
- Broken Lock Fee: $25 for tampering with or removing the meter lock installed at service termination.
I Can’t Make A Payment
If you cannot make your water bill payment, the first thing you need to do is call customer service right away. Their line is open 24 hours a day to allow you to reach them whenever you need to. Talk to the customer service representative about the situation and see if you can make a payment agreement to keep your account in good standing. The sooner you can call before your due date once you are aware of your inability to pay, the better. If you are able to make a partial payment, this is better than no payment at all. The company can also help you take steps to make your water consumption more manageable to help reduce the overall cost of your bill.
