What To Do When You Can’t Pay Your Gulf Power Bill

Gulf Power is an electric company providing service to. When the weather changes, usage changes, which causes the bill amount to fluctuate. How To Pay The Bill

Gulf Power Bill Pay is easy. The company offers the following payment methods: in person, by phone, online, automatic bank draft, and by mail.

In person payments:Visit one of the Gulf Power bill pay payment center locationsnear you. These are CheckFree payment centers, and they do not accept late payments. When you pay a current bill with this method, you need to allow three to five business days for processing.

Pay by phone:Call BillMatrix at: 1-800-831-6502. There will be a fee of $3.60 for using this service. Pay by phone using credit/debit card, or bank account. This fee is charged on behalf of BillMatrix, and is not given to Gulf Power.

Gulf Power Bill Pay online:You can make a one time payment by visiting online services at: If you want to pay via credit or debit card, then you must use BillMatrix.

Pay by mail:Send check or money order to the following address:

How The Penalty Fees Work

If you cannot pay your Gulf Power bill on time, you may be charged a percentage of the past due balance as a late fee. If your payment is declined by your bank, you may be charged a fee, in addition to the fee your financial institution charges. You may also be required to pay a fee to restore service if it was interrupted due to non-payment. This fee could be higher if service has to be restored outside normal business hours.

I Can’t Make A Payment

If you cannot handle your Gulf Power Bill pay this month, you have a couple of options. If you have an online account, you can make a payment arrangement online. If not, you can contact customer service at: and make one. There are also assistance programs available to help you meet your bill obligations without crashing your budget.

Low-income customers also have the option of applying for the LIHEAP Home Energy Assistance Program. If you meet the income qualifications, you’ll receive monthly payments for up to one year before having to reapply for LIHEAP.

  1. My issue has not been resolved! I cannot pay my bill! I had originally set up a couple of different payment plans but was unable to pay. I spoke to several different people including a supervisor and was told that there is nothing that they could do and sent me a disconnet notice. I am trying hard to get assistance with this bill but have not heard back from Tri-County. My two grandchildren and son live there and we are not getting any assistance with support from the childrens mother. Please contact me and at least set me up with a payment plan that I can afford. I can send a $100.00 per week until it gets caught up or at least until we can hear back from Tri-County. Please help me! Thank you!

  2. It is unfortunate that GP won’t do more to help. We struggle every month to pay our bill. We enrolled in the bill pay plan so that we paid the same amount every month, and they even went up on that. LHEAP will only help you about once a year. No other place to turn. We do without a lot so that we can pay just the power. We are both senior citizens, and even though we have no small children, GP would just let us both freeze if we did not pay. Wish there was more to be done to help.

  3. We had a huge water leak that continuedoes for about 2 months.Well of course that increases the utilities. Okaloosa water Co. Was great and they worked with us but Gulf Power was completely heartless and wouldn’t do anything to help us with our power bill that was $600 for 2 months. We have been loyal customers for many years so what a shame you would treat your customers with such disrespect. So many people are struggling these days.Have some sypathy.
