  1. I just purchased a new home in LV, Sold my home in NLV. I had service w/ Las Vegas Water Dept. about 3-4 years ago. Paid a deposit & was never late on a bill. I paid a lot more money to close on my new home on Monday 10/7, and called customer service today to set up service at my new home. I was not expecting to get charged a deposit. Exp since all my previous bills had been paid on time/never late & I just sold & purchased a new home alone in my name. (Credit can’t be bad) The customer service rep I spoke to was very rude, Debra! I am shocked that I can’t get a $150 deposit waived for water service but I can buy a new house & transfer & get all other services in my name w/ NO DEPOSIT! How is one supposed to have any money left after purchasing a home & paying for closing costs? Two days later I call to have water turned on & I am asked for more money???
