  1. We have lived here for almost 3 years. we only have social security disability income. We had food benefits, but I was unable to get a form turned in by 12/31 which was the deadline – and our benefits terminated. Our case worker was on vacation for 2 weeks – so phone calls were unanswered until she called to tell me my benefits were cancelled. that was January 4. I told customer service at LGE about this situation, which now makes the LgE bill much harder to pay. They did extend my date for 3 weeks. But it is still due from the same monthly income received on the 3rd. It is due now on the 22nd. I have pawned my wedding rings and other jewelry which is gone now. we just are unable to get around – trouble seeing and moving – hip pain and other medical problems. But LGE will not allow any more of an extension. If we cannot pay the bill, we lose service, even in winter like now. If we could pay half, or pay on the 3rd of March, we would also be able to buy food. We have very little left. We cannot get down to apply for LIHEAP – we cannot get around anymore. I just do not know what to do..
