Questions About Your Billing Statement or Account?
Have you experienced an increase in fees such as late payment fees, connection charges or returned payment fees that you do not understand? If you have questions or concerns about the increased fees, we recommend you visit the Midco FAQs. For additional information, we recommend you speak to qualified customer service representative at 1-800-888-1300.
How the Penalty Fees Work
Midco charges customers a monthly fee for Internet, phone and television services. If the bill is not paid by the due date, customers can assume certain penalties and/or fees will be added to the next bill.
- Late payment fee: $5 added to the next bill if payment is not received by the due date. This fee will be assessed if you mail your payment late and the payment is not processed by the due date.
- Reconnect/disconnect: There is no mention of a disconnect or reconnect fee, but most cable companies will charge a fee to reconnect service if service is interrupted for non-payment.
- Returned payment charge: Midco could charge up to the state maximum for a returned payment.
I Can’t Make a Payment
Midco does not reveal specific payment options for customers having temporary financial problems. Federal programs protect phone lines with low-income utility payments, but Internet and cable services are not supported with federal grants and programs. Customers meeting low-income guidelines should apply for programs at the local Department of Health and Human Services.
The contact number for Midco customer service is 1-800-888-1300. Contact a customer service representative as soon as you know you can’t pay your bill. Sometimes, early notification will prevent late payment charges.
