I Can’t Make a Payment
Missouri American Water offers customers resources when you can’t pay your bill. Several of the programs are sponsored by Missouri American Water, while additional resources are sponsored by local Community Action services.
- Payment arrangements: Missouri American Water offers payment arrangements for customers that can’t pay your bill. You must call 1-866-430-0820 prior to your termination notice. In order to keep your water service, your must follow the conditions of the payment arrangement. Customers are required to pay at least 25% of their past due amount.
- H2O Help Program: This service assists Missouri American Water customers that can’t pay your bill. Customers must apply by calling 1-866-430-0820. Upon approval, the qualified low-income customer receives discounts up to 65% or a grant worth up to $500.
- Additional resources: Missouri American Water provided us with a list of community organizations that help customers pay your bill. The organizations include Central Missouri Community Action, Community Action partnership of St. Joseph and Missouri valley Community Action.
