Rappahannock Electric not only provides affordable electricity to residents, the company also provides electric service to commercial and industrial businesses.

How to Pay the Bill

Customers wanting options to pay your Rappahannock Electric bill can do so online, by mail, in-person, through automatic deduction, through Western Union and by phone.

Pay online: Customers can pay your Rappahannock Electric bill online by visiting https://secure3.i-doxs.net/rappelec/. Utilizing the online payment method is free.

Automatic deduction: Customers can pay your Rappahannock Electric bill by having the funds automatically deducted from your checking or savings account. Rappahannock Electric does not charge for this service.

Pay by phone: Customers can pay your Rappahannock Electric bill by phone when you contact customer service at 1-800-552-3904. You will incur a convenience fee of $4.95 for each transaction.

Western Union: Customers can pay your Rappahannock Electric bill by using Western Union. You will incur a $1.50 convenience fee when making a payment through Western Union.

  • Reconnection – $78
  • Reconnection (after hours) – $181
  • Collection – $33
  • Returned check – $20
  • Meter testing – $123
  • Late payment – 1.5% of the past due amount

I Can’t Make a Payment

When you can’t pay your Rappahannock Electric bill, the company provides options so your service is not terminated for non-payment. The available programs include:

  • Caring Card – This service is a third-party notification system designed to inform a responsible party of a pending termination notice.
  • LIHEAP home energy assistance program– This program is a federally-funded program designed to assist customers pay your heating or cooling costs.
  • LifeLine – Customers that depend on electricity in order to power medical equipment will not have your power disconnected.

  1. There has been two exceptionally nice people there who I have dealt with and they tried to help but no one else cared I have a medical paper and my my daughter is on a breathing machine. My bill is behind bc I have been in and out of the hospital dealing with major issues. I in fact go back next Wednesday for another surgery.I have explained the situation as we have 5 kids and my husband is a deputy who only get once a month
    I also managed to scrounge 600 dollars which left a remaining 425 I am expected to have it all paid Friday. I am very upset by this I will be happy to move and not deal with REC anymore!

  2. I lost my job do to health issues.Which include copd and a few other health problems. I am currently working on getting training for desk job. I am unable to stand for long periods of time. I have an amazing son. Just need a little help keeping lights on. If anyone can help god bless
