There is a long list of providers available for UPMC bills. Once you’ve chosen a provider, you’ll be asked for the patient name, account number, payer name, payer phone number, payment amount and payment information. A valid email address is required to make payment online.

Pay by mail: You can mail your payment to the address listed on your bill. The address should include the name of the facility where payment is due. Some medical procedures will result in multiple bills from different providers, so always make sure to send payment to the provider and address listed on the bill. Never send cash payments through the mail.

  1. Hello at UPMC

I set up payments of $120 a month on all your different accounts and was told this was acceptable for payment arrangements and yet I see today that you reported me to a collection agency and THEY REPORTED ME TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS!!!! I talked with the collection company last month and they were aware I had made payments and that the payment plan was oOKAY’d by your people and they STILL reported me!!!

I was just about to refinance my automobile so I could pay off everything I owed to you, as I finally got my credit score over 700. WELL GUESS WHAT??? That report dropped my score by 50 POINTS!!! and cost me over 5% EXTRA interest taking it to 17%!!!!!!…even though I’ve been making payments to you!! I AM FURIOUS!!!!!!!! and completed disgusted with your entire organization.

I’ve been hospitalized six times since last June with problem after problem and I have been disabled since 2002 living on SSDI. The copays for my medication are almost $200 each month and I tried to do right by you and set up the automated payments.

It is ridiculous that you have a separate account for every hospitalization and every single procedure so I have to pay on all of them at the same time instead of just one account for each patient. It makes it impossible to keep track of and impossible to know the total amount I owe each month.

I want something done about this and I want that collection agency to have this report removed from my credit report immediately! The agency is State Collection Services inc. and this is completely despicable practice by them and by UPMC.
