What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your Verizon Bill

Verizon is one of the leading cell phone companies in the United States. After acquiring rights to sell the Apple iPhone, customers started flocking from AT&T to Verizon for better coverage and faster Internet speeds. Verizon, though more reliable, tends to cost more than AT&T and other cell phone companies. When it comes to paying your pas due Verizon cell phone bill, it is best to contact customer service immediately. If your account remains past due, they will shut off your cell phone service and require full payment with a reconnect fee to be paid before your service is resumed.

How the Penalty Fees Work

Verizon will assess late payment fees and disconnect fees if you can’t pay your bill, in some states. According to the customer service department, some states do not allow late payment fees.

If you have a contract with Verizon, you will be charged an early termination fee if your service is disconnected and Verizon is unable to collect payment within a short time.

I Can’t Pay My Bill

Verizon is one of the few companies that clearly offers payment arrangements available from your online account.

Payment arrangements: If you can’t pay your Verizon bill, log into your online account and change the date for your payment or schedule your past due balance to be paid in two future payments. If two payments are not enough, contact the customer service department for additional options.

Will They Work With Me to Pay My Bill?

We’d love to hear from Verizon customers about making past due payments on accounts. Did the company break your payments into more than two installments?
