AAA is known primarily as an automobile associate that provides touring, travel and emergency roadside assistance. What customers may not know is that AAA also branched into the financial market by offering the AAA credit card. The benefits of the AAA credit card include:

How to Pay the Bill

When you use the AAA credit card and need to pay your bill, the following services are available.

Automatic draft: An easy way to eliminate late payment charges and convenience fees is to schedule your payment directly from your bank account.

On a periodic basis, you may notice fees and service charges assessed to your account. Unfortunately, not all financial institutions explain the additional charges. How the Penalty Fees Work

Financial institutions tend to disclose fees and service charges that are assessed to customers. The fees associated with the AAA credit card include:

  • APR– 12.99% to 20.99% (purchases)
  • APR– 2.99% (balance transfers)
  • APR– 24.99% (cash advances)
  • Wire transfer– 4% of the transaction or $10
  • Balance transfer– 4% of the transaction or $10
  • Cash advance– 4% of the transaction or $10
  • Late payment– $25; $35 for each subsequent late payment
  • Returned payment – $25

We spoke to a customer service representative and asked about payment assistance programs for customers that can’t pay your bill in a timely manner. It is recommended that customers call customer service at 1-800-587-8093 prior to the bill payment due date. The representative explained that the company provides the following services:

  • Interest-only bill payment
  • Payment plan
  • Payment extension
  • Due date changes
