What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your OptiLink Bill

OptiLink is a division of Dalton Utilities. The cable company offers Internet, phone and television services to customers in and around Dalton, Georgia. While the website for the company offers information on billing, service fees and disconnect policies, payment option information is lacking.

How to Pay the Bill

You can pay your OptiLink bill in person, by mail and online. There may be other payment options, such as paying at a community bank, but you must contact the customer service department to learn more about local banks accepting OptiLink payment.

Pay online: If you visit http://payment.optilink.us/login.html you can pay your OptiLink bill online. A username and password are required to log in, so you must register your account before making your payment.

Pay by mail: Your bill should have included a billing envelope. The address printed on that envelope or the front of your OptiLink bill can be used to make a payment by mail. The address for Dalton Utilities, the main company behind OptiLink is:

How the Penalty Fees Work

Penalty fees are charged when a customer does not fulfill the terms and conditions of service. The General FAQ section outlines two main penalty fees.

  • Late payment charge: 5% of the past due balance assessed on the first day after your payment is due.
  • Reconnect charge: $50 if service is interrupted for non-payment. Payment is due no later than 10 days after the due date to prevent service interruption.

I Can’t Make a Payment

The best option for customers having trouble paying for OptiLink services is to contact Dalton Utilities at 1-706-529-1313. The phone portion of the bill may be covered by local or state low-income programs, but cable and Internet services are not eligible for these programs. The customer service department will work with customers to make payment arrangements both the company and the customer can live with.
