What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your TJX Rewards Bill

TJX or TJ Maxx is an off-price clothing retail store. Other brands associated with TJX include Marshalls and HomeGoods. Purchases, either online or in-store, can be made with the TJX Rewards credit card. This credit card offers perks, including:

  • $10 off of your first purchase
  • 5 rewards points for every $1 spent
  • $10 gift certificate for every 100 rewards points earned
  • No annual fee

How to Pay the Bill

The TJX Rewards offers several methods for customers to pay your bill. The available methods include online bill payment, payments by mail, payments by phone, automatic deduction and in-store bill payments.

Pay online: Customers can pay your TJX Rewards credit card bill online by visiting https://www.tjxrewards.com/consumergen2/login.do?subActionId=1000&clientId=tjx&langId=en&accountType=generic. You have the ability to make payments with credit cards, debit cards and electronic checks.

Pay by mail: Your TJX Rewards payment can be sent by mail to the service center listed on your bill. If you don’t have the address send payments to:

Pay by phone: Call customer service at 1-800-952-6133 if you’d like to speak with a customer service representative or make a payment by phone.

Automatic deduction: If you’d like to set-up your payments to be automatically decucted from your personal checking or savings account, TJX Rewards supports automatic deductions.

Pay in-store: Payments are accepted in-store at any TJ Maxx, HomeGoods or Marshalls.

How the Penalty Fees Work

On a monthly or non-recurring basis, you will notice charges such as late payment fees, balance transfer fees, cash advance fees, interest charges and increased APR.

  • Late payment– When you pay your TJX Rewards credit card past the due date, the fee is $35 per instance.
  • Balance transfer– In the event you transfer your balance from one TJX Rewards credit card to another, the fee is $4 or 10% of the transferred balance.
  • Cash advance– When acquiring cash from your TJX Rewards credit card, the fee is $4 or 10% of the cash advance.
  • Interest– The minimum amount charged is $2.
  • APR – In the event you make a late payment, your APR could increase from 23.99% to 29.99%

I Can’t Make a Payment

In difficult financial times, you may not be able to pay your TJX Rewards credit card bill. If this is the case, you have options. You must first contact customer service at 1-800-952-6133 prior to your due date.

  • Skip payment
  • Interest only payment
  • Interest-free with an appropriate payment
  • Interest-free with a reduced payment

  2. It is maddening to deal with you people. Since you took over TJX I am never able to pay my bill online. There is always some glitch that requires me to pay by phone. And paying by phone is even worse, because it takes 15 minutes just to get to an agent and the call is usually dropped at least once, requiring one to repeat the entire process. I have just paid over the phone again and this time I cancelled my account. Please let TJX know why they just lost a customer who spends more than $1000 each charge. And kindly send me my rewards due for my last payment to which I am entitled.

  4. I have come to the store to pay the full amount $108.83 but the employee and the manager refused to pay at the store and asked me to pay on line or mail the check to pay.COULD YOU SHOW ME how to use the bank card to pay the bill.Thank you so much.

  5. Guys? Shut up. This is NOT a customer support form. No one from GE Money or TJ Maxx reads your posts. If you lost your card, call to cancel it. If you need your password reset, go online and click “Forgot my password.” If you think it’s so maddening to deal with people that aren’t even reading your post, go complain someone else. If you need help registering your card, call the number on the back of the card and ask for help. If you need help using your bank card to pay your bill, call the number on the back of your TJX card and ask. Jesus, people. Common sense.

  6. tjmaxx has the worst method of makeing a payment online i have ever use. It is so bad I still have to go to the store to make my payment.

  7. I tried to pay my bill at a TJ Maxx store before it was due and was told that they did not accept bill payments in the store. I then had to send the payment (in full) in the mail and it arrived one day late.

    I do not agree with being penalized $25 for a late payment since the employee in the Mechanicsburg Pa store wouldn’t accept the payment when it states on your website that bill payments are accepted at any store.

  8. I do not have my acct number, I need to set_up. auto pay, to pay my bill off, so I,am not charged late fee.and you need to allow customers to pay in any store

  9. It is horrible trying to pay my bill. I am cutting up my card. I can’t get anyone on the phone and I can’t pay on line. This is ridicules. I have better things to do. I tried to pay at the store they cant take the money at the store. Khol’s on the other hand makes it easy. I will stick with them.

  10. I am so disgusted with this website. I use to pay online, now I can’t. I called and was told to try using Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer. Switched, but it still doesn’t work. Now, I am going to cancel this card. Why isn’t this being corrected???

  11. Went into thanks to purchase clothes for my daughter, completed an application for card as to obtain 10 percent off. I have never been so sorry and I regret that moment I said yes. I tried to pay in full at the store, ( my balance oweing)and was told it would be an additional 25.00 fee. This was Farmington, NM. Do not I repeat DO NOT shop TJMaxx and apply for card. Customer Service is not practiced there.

  12. I tried to make in store payment at 2 local tj maxx and was told you have to pay online, by phone or mail when website clearly say you can pay at any store.

  13. I keep having problem paying my bill on line it’s eithery pass word is wrong are something else u guys need to fix the problem.we should be able to pay in any store we can use the card

  15. I purchased some items on 6/08/15 and I haven’t received my bill as of today 6/30/15. I do not wish to pay online or by phone. How do I get a bill from you.

  16. I have received my bill for the second time where my payment has not been acknowledged. Credit card company did not believe my payment, would not respond to my bank verification and I had to give written permission to allow my bank to shared information. This was reported as fraud and I had to wait five more days to give me credit. Today I have received my last bill where my last payment was again not acknowledged. I have not used the card and do not plan to do so.

  17. I have applied for a card and got approved on 12/22/15 when should I expect a card or more importantly the bill? I don’t want a late fee and want to set up an account so I can begin with my payment. Please help asap. Thank you

  18. This is the most difficult card payment method ever!
    I have even called in to make a payment, been given a confirmation number and still the payment does not go through. Why is the only credit card without an app and easy pay?
    Why can’t we pay from a savings account?
    Why did my first invoice arrive as last due only 2 weeks after I had the card, with no previous communication?
    I actually avoid using this card now, due to the difficulty of paying the balance!!

    I got a bill for $259.28 payment due on 12/19/16.It was paid on 12/16/16.Now I got another bill for$290.71 inclding past due of $25.How can I contact the billing dept through email.I can not call them over phone as I am out of town.

  20. I was told by an employee of your store that I could not make a payment in the store located in St. Louis Park, MN. It would have been paid on time. I finally made the payment on your website. I printed the sheet and will bring it into the store to point out their mistake. Educating your employees would be a good idea.

  21. I lost my job and I was late 1 day and I called to tjx customer service and they did not want to wave the late fee. I explained them that the 25.00 was a considerable amount in my situation because even though I paid more that the minimum due still I have a balance. Nicole the Account manager did not care. She said there was nothing to do about it. So I would like somebody from management could help me with this issue as I have been a long time customer.
