To make your credit card payment through Wells Fargo Bill Pay, you will also need to login to your online account.

To pay your Wells Fargo card bill by phone, call 1-800-869-3557 any time day or night.

To pay your Wells Fargo bill by mail, send the check or money order with your account number written on it to:

How The Penalty Fees Work

You are subject to a late fee if your minimum payment due is not made on or before the due date. You are subject to fees for going over your credit limit, and you may see an increase in your interest rate if you are late making payments. If your payment is returned by your bank, you are also subject to a penalty fee.

We received this incredibly helpful official response from a Well Fargo representative on how they work with customers who have fallen behind on bank credit card bill payments:

A late fee will be the lesser of the Minimum Payment or $25. For any subsequent event within a rolling six month period, the fee will be the lesser of the Minimum Payment or $35.

Possible outcomes that consumers should be aware of are: credit bureau reporting that can negatively impact credit scores up through potential legal action in some cases.

I would like to emphasize that customers are typically better off working with their bank directly, rather than working with a for-profit debt settlement company. There are also non-profit credit counseling agencies that can provide assistance if the consumer is struggling with payments across multiple creditors (NFCC can provide referrals to accredited agencies).

  2. I have been using my Bob’s card through Wells Fargo for nearly two years. Today, I was trying to log on to pay my monthly bill and every time I enter my password and user ID, it says that there is no record of my account. I have tried on my computer and my iPhone, but it hasn’t let me on. Is there some trouble with the website? I have never had trouble before and I find it very frustrating that I am trying to pay my bill and I am unable to do so. My due date is December 4th, and I do not want to be charged a late fee. Please advise!

  3. I’ve always had issues getting help. In 2014 I had a hard time and when asked them what they could do to help me they gave me no real options. I was fresh out of college no work and had never missed a payment until I asked for help. Lack of help caused some damage to my credit and it’s taking a while to rebuild. They are no help.

  4. I was unable to make my payments so I have notify Freedom debt relief and make payment to them. Please contact them and not me.
